I was messing around with pre pulsars on tori.
I found this pre-pulsar agar that if possible to stabilize it would give us a new p55 pulsar hassler with a different mechanism than the one one the wiki.
Two wicks of pre pulsars collide and decay back into pre-pulsars.
Note the shift on the torus.
Does any one know if this can be stabilized or if it is hopeless?

The active portion of the pattern can convert a glider in to a Pi heptomino in one of its phases without slowing down.
Out of the 3 ways the fuse can collide with the double blinker puffer, only 1 of them leads to the destruction of the double blinker puffer. One has it cleanly eaten, and the other results in a honey farm, traffic light, and two out-of-place blinkers.

I discovered this object, but I do not know if it has been discovered before; I would therefore like to find out.

Welcome to the Forums! It looks like you've posted this in the wrong subforum - Website Discussion is for conversations pertaining to the Forums, LifeWiki, or other adjacent communities. This post would've been better suited in an existing thread in the Patterns board like Thread for your unsure discoveries.

It appears from the screenshot you're already using Golly, which is great! However, Instead of posting a picture of the pattern, it is best to use the selection tool around the part that you want to copy (or Ctrl+A for the whole pattern) and then copy it using Ctrl+C. This will export the pattern to your clipboard in RLE format, which makes it easier to share patterns with others. It would look like this:

Code: Select all

x = 5, y = 10, rule = B3/S23
o$2o$obo$3bo$4bo$4bo$3bo$obo$2o$o!
Unfortunately, unstable objects (methuselae) like this aren't usually notable on their own, unless they have a highly special property such as longevity. The community is more interested in stable objects such as oscillators and spaceships. I would recommend browsing the LifeWiki further to familiarize yourself with some of the terminology and objects that exist in Life.
That's the bunny.

This pattern doesn’t have a commonly used name, but it isn’t notable enough to warrant one.

Quoting the forum rules (emphasis added):

Some specific examples of discoveries that won't be of interest to this community include:

[…]

A methuselah that lasts fewer than 20,000 generations or is larger than a 20-by-20 box.

[…]
Small side note: you don’t need to post in this thread if you’ve already posted in this thread. Just remember next time to post in an existing thread if your pattern isn’t very notable.
