CGOL riddles

Post by TheWayOfTheCon »

Topic where we post riddles related to Conway's Game of Life or CA in general, with other people trying to guess the answer. The riddle can be about spaceships, conduits, polymonios, search programs...as long as it relates to cellular automata, it belongs here.

To start off:
If two of my cells were blessed, I'd become a useful asset in chess. What am I?

This one probably isn't that good. And no, you don't have to make the riddles rhyme, but they're much cooler if they do.
I could've chose a better username, but oh well.

I think I've learned the ropes of cellular automata. My current interest is range-two LTLs.

nonsensical riddle:
Little Timmy thought he saw a spaceship flying towards him at the maximum possible speed, but the spaceship decelerated and turned into a banana. What did Little Timmy see before him?
(hint: it's one of my favorite patterns in CGoL)

Yeah, sure. By blessed, I meant that if the cells changed in a more preferrable way.
