Currently working to improve Life's guns and work on updating SKOPs and Isotropic rules most similar to B3/S23 to Life standards. Will get software to begin searches eventually.

I found it by putting hotcrystal0's partial into JLS, identifying the p5 cells, and clearing them (leaving the p10 cells intact). Using p5 cells I set up a rotor-width-35 search and looked for partials up to length 35. To reduce the size of the search space and give better partials, I used the JLS setting "Search->Options...->Constraints->No more than N active cells per layer" and set this value to 10 with "excluding manually set cells" checked (this means no more than 10 rotor cells per "layer"). I also unchecked "define layers through sorting" so I could chose "Rows" as my layer type. Important note: LLS does not apply the "No more than N active cells per layer" to regions with the 4th or 5th subperiod (this allows more complex search setups, but it can be confusing if you don't know about it). For that reason, I had to set up my subperiod-5 cells by using the 3rd subperiod and setting that to period 5 under "Edit->Properties". Since I was just looking for partial results to start with, I used the LLS `-j` option to save the solution back to .jdf (JLS state file) format.

Running the above search, I found a partial result in which the rotor seemed to thin out nicely in places. I opened this with JLS and ran a thin-rotor-width search with JLS to see if any nice extensions could easily be found, and it found promising enough extensions that I just manipulated the search area a bit to quickly get the above result in JLS, without needing to go back to LLS. Finally, I optimized the stator with my stator optimizer script, and manually edited it to be symmetric.

I'm sure much smaller solutions exist.

Currently working to improve Life's guns and work on updating SKOPs and Isotropic rules most similar to B3/S23 to Life standards. Will get software to begin searches eventually.
