Currently working to improve Life's guns and work on updating SKOPs and Isotropic rules most similar to B3/S23 to Life standards. Will get software to begin searches eventually.

So maybe there's a way to combine a spark from the p45 or p53 (or any other) with either a single incoming glider or another period-compatible spark to create a LWSS, MWSS, or HWSS that we haven't found yet. The periods don't have to be the same; they just have to not destroy either oscillator or gun during the mismatched phases.

It's weirdly similar to the known p48 glider gun in a surprising number of phases (same engine), but does differ enough in other phases to be different. Could this lead to perturbations that ultimately alter the repeat time or some insane hybrid engine?
Notice that they're only similar up until the point that the engine interacts with something other than the eater. That's because both are based on the first part of the AK-47 reaction, which is also the basis for the snark and many other guns of different periods.
I already noted this gun (and that it isn't record-breaking) at the top of this page.

Is this really gliderless? The glider produced in the lower left is required for the gun to work, despite the lwss being produced naturalistically.
My definition of gliderless is simply that the mechanism used to create the spaceship doesn’t rely on gliders or glider syntheses, so to me it is.

I think the point of LuveelVoom's question is that the mechanism DOES in fact rely on a glider-based reaction to produce the reaction that eventually leads to an emitted LWSS (Southwest part of the pattern), the emitted (and eaten) glider notwithstanding.

There is currently no consensus on the definition of "gliderless" — the LifeWiki page for Gliderless gun gives several possible conditions:
LifeWiki wrote:There is no strict definition for what constitutes a gliderless gun. For example, solutions based on Herschel tracks may produce gliders, even though they aren't utilised in the reaction. Some increasingly strict conditions might include:
• a synthesis of the output spaceship that is not a form of glider synthesis
• a core gun engine that does not output gliders
• the absence of any reactions from the gun that would output gliders
• the absence of a glider-shaped cluster at any point in the operation of the gun
• the absence of any rectangular bounding box containing a glider-shaped polyplet, at any point in the operation of the gun
I have previously used the term "quasi-gliderless" to refer to the first condition — for instance this "quasi-gliderless P59 MWSS gun" I made back in 2018. It certainly does contain gliders, a lot of them in fact, but the output MWSSes are not produced with a glider synthesis.
