EDIT by dvgrn: Moved this over here, because it's a near miss but it's just not quite a converter.
Jubjub-reflecting the glider cleans up the beehive quite nicely, but then it becomes a slow eater and/or glider-activated sparker, and it doesn't look like the sparks are particularly interesting or accessible.

Using Bandersnatch start, I found an almost 90° reflector with a Beehive left.
At least it's a G7-to-G (RT125) :
Code:

If there was a catalyst that could get rid of the beehive that forms, there could be one that doesn't have the blinker and emits another Herschel. The output Hershel's first natural glider is also needed to delete the blob that forms, but that's no biggie. Here, a deletion of a block acts in place of a catalysis:
Code:
Select all
x = 51, y = 41, rule = LifeHistory

It seems somewhat viable, though the block in the southeast prevents the boat that gets used from being a one-time turner.
Helloshe, I like pentadecathlons and small-period motifs.
I may not be very skilled in search programs, but I have many ideas.
Soli Deo Gloria!

EDIT by dvgrn: Moved to the Dirty Conduits thread, since the beehive is not in a particularly accessible "factory"-type location compared to lots of other beehive factories, and the glider output makes it conduit-like, but it's not a complete one.

Not sure if that was noted, but these are h-to-h with a annoying block, which can still be removed by some g-to-g, but still I guess these are HL129H and HLx129H:

Here is a way to turn a U-turner into a Herschel (which does not come from a B-sequence) with the same initial tub.
I think that the input clearance is non-hopeless in this case, but if I'm wrong about that, Sokwe (or any other moderator) is free to move my post to the thread for useless discoveries.
Interesting! Totally different sequence leading to the Herschel from the one in Fx158, which is the only (?) (it can't still be the only one, can it?) other non-B-sequence Herschel output.
A while back, I found this clean R+glider+block reaction that shoots a Herschel sideways:
Code: Select all
x = 33, y = 18, rule = LifeHistory
30.A$30.A.A$30.2A2$3D19.2C$.D19.2C$.3D18.C10$16.2A$16.2A!
However, the closest I've seen to anything accommodating the input is the ancient G4-to-R receiver.
Speaking of different ways of doing things, here's another dependent H-to-MWSS+beehive (with an added mold to suppress the beehive):
Code: Select all
x = 36, y = 34, rule = LifeHistory
28.2A$12.2A14.3A$12.2A14.2A.A$30.A.A$29.A2.A$30.2A2$33.2A$32.A.A$33.A

A!
This alternate catalysis for the lower left might lead to a stable beehive suppression, but it'd be tough:
Code: Select all
x = 32, y = 33, rule = LifeHistory
8.2A$8.2A5$29.2A$28.A.A$29.A6$2.2A24.2A$3.A24.A.A$3A3.A23.A$A4.A.A22.

A!
Based on this H-to-MWSS by Extrementhusiast, I found three Spartan versions of that conduit. They either leave behind a annoying beehive or an annoying block.
Code:
Select all
x = 39, y = 112, rule = LifeHistory

The output connection must be independent, because it relies on the output herschel's FNG for cleanup.
Code: Select all

Is there a dirty conduit that makes a pi with some trailing junk that can suppress the block?
Code:
Select all
x = 18, y = 22, rule = B3/S23

I am tentatively considering myself back.

A partial Fx310 that creates a blinker:
Code:
Select all
x = 61, y = 48, rule = LifeHistory

It might be possible to make a clean one with a different R-pentomino catalyst in the northeast corner.
Code:
Select all
x = 32, y = 32, rule = B3aijkr5j/S2aek3-acy4iz6c
