Thread for your useless, unorthodox, or just plain ridiculous one-time turners.

For discussion of specific patterns or specific families of patterns in Conway's Game of Life, both newly-discovered and well-known.

Thread for your useless, unorthodox, or just plain ridiculous one-time turners.

Post by OCAfan55 »

This thread was created for the purpose of displaying one-time turners that would take a miracle to use in any situation.
Starting off with this TL predecessor.

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 10, rule = B3/S23
$5bo$5b2o$5bo2$2bo$b2o$bobo!
I'm trying to get better at handbuilding hasslers

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 11, rule = B3-q5y7e/S234q5e7
3b2o$3b2o2$o6bo$o6bo$bo4bo$o6bo$o6bo2$3b2o$3b2o!

I'm not sure how thread-worth this thread is, but here another pre-TL OTT, something I found a long time ago while watching a soup:

Code: Select all

x = 8, y = 4, rule = LifeHistory
6.A$A4.3A$.2A$2A!
Engineering macro-spaceships is hard.
