Over the past couple of days or so (maybe starting in January 1st or 2nd), I've noticed a huge slowdown in the forums. This forums lag could either be related or unrelated to the LifeWiki errors that have been happening.
Whatever is going on just needs to stop. I've been really frustrated with this since I rely on the wiki and forums a lot for help. I really want someone to move all the forums and LifeWiki data to a new website.

I can concur that Forum loads are slow and got a 503 error just trying to respond here. Currently working to improve Life's guns and work on updating SKOPs and Isotropic rules most similar to B3/S23 to Life standards. Will get software to begin searches eventually.

i think i might have a clue as to what is going on.
the lifeviewer on our home page is completely free for anyone to use. the lifeviewer on our page can access lifewiki. if someone were to, say, get a bot to load up our homepage and run random rules constantly, that could certainly lag lifewiki a lot.
unfortunately, this may not be what is going on, and i could just be feeding the bots ideas :(
