New versions of lifeviewer seem to have a bug where the selection box's first corner is sticky: it will always be at the same spot even when you try to recreate the selection box somewhere else using the mouse or a touchscreen

I can't reproduce this. It works fine for me on Windows desktop (Chrome) and iPhone (Safari). Please let me know which device and browser you are using?

The issue appears to have resolved after some update to lifeviewer; I reloaded the page and it is no longer present.

I have been noticing a bug that occurs when attempting to advance sections of a Lifeviewer pattern, where sometimes previous patterns will get pulled up at the same time and completely mess up the pattern due to the overlap rendering the pattern unstable. (sometimes it also deletes the pattern entirely when returned to gen 0). Both can be recovered by reversing additional steps, but are super annoying to restore otherwise

Allowing the pattern to run to the point where the glider reaches the edge of the bounding box gets this pattern (which is ready for Catagolue submission, but let's say something needs adjustment and I back up the pattern) - This was done without deselecting the green box around those parts

Oh, and backing it up to zero erases everything but the sparker, which can be restored to earlier steps with command + z (I did get similar overlapping pattern thing that I wasn't able to capture)

this is likely unintended behaviour found in the lifeviewer.

Throttling reduces simulation step if it's significantly faster than what LifeViewer can handle. This is intended to stop LifeViewer from getting too laggy when setting the step size too high.

Disabling throttling disables this protection mechanism. This is mainly for patterns where the step size is critical, but for large patterns this causes excessive lag.

Tab or space no longer seem to consistently work to increment generation. Space sometimes works on catagolue and conwaylife.com home page, but not in the popup viewers. Tab just doesn't seem to work anymore and is just jumping between webpage elements. I think this happened on both Firefox on linux, and Chrome on Windows 11.

This changed in build 1364 to meet accessibility requirements. Use Backslash instead of Tab. Space should still work since nothing changed there.

Note that Backslash moves forward one step and Space moves forward one generation.

This issue is that the RLE is invalid since it is splitting a count from a symbol across the end of a line. In this case the final 15 on the second line has a new line before the . at the beginning of line 3.
