The Valera Cross is a fourfold symmetric pattern that evolves into four stable beacons and emits eight gliders in perfect symmetry.
Discovered by Karpinchik Valera (known as @.val386) in November 2025 on playgameoflife.com.
It represents a rare type of self-destroying glider emitter, combining oscillatory and explosive behavior. :D 8)

Read the forum rules before you post anything. (perhaps we should make it visible or compulsory for every newcomers to read it?)

A methuselah is indeed aesthetically pleasing but isn't worthy of post, unfortunately. It's a lot easier to make discoveries in OCA (other cellular automata), especially chaotic (but not explosive or stable) isotropic non-totalistic rules with B2ce or B3ai. Even then, try to find spaceships, oscillators, catalysts, guns or rakes instead of methuselahs.

It has lifespan of 207, not impressive considering those much high records in list of long-lived methuselahs.
