I find it interesting that combining two shillelaghs is still just a still life

Welcome to the forums! The still life is not new and is indeed documented on the wiki, but not on its own page - it's #48 on List of still lifes with 13 cells. It doesn't appear to have a name yet, but a variant with a tub instead of a boat at the edge is called claw at claw. Most modern focus on still lifes has been about still lifes with special useful reactions, or synthesizing all of them up to a given population.
Catagolue's object page can be a good tool to find out the names of specific stable patterns, but not all have names.

Welcome to the forums! Unfortunately, 'new' methuselae that stabilise quickly are not considered notable. There are simply too many, and they have few practical applications to other areas of the Game of Life. There are millions of methuselae fitting in a 16x16 bounding box that last longer than 25000 generations, so 310 generations is not significant.

Since the backrake 1 reduction is glider-constructible, the pattern can probably be built by an RCT, meaning that the initial population can in theory be reduced to 61 (based on LifeWiki DYK 152), but like all RCT-based arguments, such a pattern would be incredibly impractical.
Yesterday I was just experimenting in the game of life. I created a cannon and placed a spaceship on its trajectory, but after the collision, I accidentally created a steam locomotive. I wonder if this is a brand new locomotive or if there already is one. It leaves traces in the form of 2 x 2 cubes on a trajectory resembling a sine wave.

I am working on a p6210 58P5H1V1 gun that uses this reaction, only with a period 690 stream filtered to period 2070, which then gets filtered further to period 6210 by a p2070 gun with a 56P27 deleting every third glider.

My 19-cell pattern changes after 13 steps to this 14-cell pattern:
