I simply tested if any of the 2 glider collisions had enough clearance, and they did not. A T rake might work.

However, I found a much more suitable reaction:

A pair of Ts can phase shift a pair of blinkers while pulling it. If we use two pairs and generate them using glider rakes, then we have a growing spaceship.

Ok, here are three reactions, all of which could be used to build different growing spaceships:

PK22, have you made any progress on new spaceship speeds? If not, it's fine, but if you have found a new spaceship speed that would be awesome. Also, for a spaceship to count for goal 3, it doesn't need to be c/8 or slower, it needs to be slower than c/7, and I will change the goals to make this more clear. For count diagonally, the speed would need to be slower than c/7 times the square root of two, 1.41, 7*1.41=9.87, so c/10d DOES count. Lastly, if you cannot find any spaceships, you could try c/7d, which is a simple period that hasn't been attempted yet.

This rule clearly has a different maximum spaceship speed. This is probably because of the existence of s5a. We have s5i as well, does that mean we could make a 2c/3o or 3c/5o spaceship?

No, but 2c/7d and (2,1)c/5 are possible. I'm doing a llsss-recentering-wao search for (2,1)c/5 at mid-steps 17 autochoke 16 billion bytes right now, and it seems to be providing viable partials.

No new progress on spaceships unfortunately, but I will start trying 2c/7d and (2,1)c/5 with ikpx2.

I think I will try and find elbow operations using a Python script, but what should the elbow be? Boat, loaf, blinker, or big blinker?

A construction elbow is a target that we can perform operations on by hitting it with spaceships. Here, these operations will probably need to be pulling, pushing, duplicating a block, or releasing a spaceship at an angle.

In terms of the actual method of manipulating the elbow, I will first try p8 single channel T streams, and if that fails, I will find small salvos of Ts that we can use for operations, but that will mean a larger construction arm and a need for T duplicators.

I would appreciate if someone could do research into 1G or 1T seeds, since our constructor needs to be able to produce them.

Whats an elbow?
An elbow, in this case, seems to refer to a construction elbow, a still life that would been bombarded by spaceships to either move it or create objects (and keeping it at the same lane).

I will write a script myself to randomly make a T stream with gaps of 8n + 32.
No script for finding operations with arbitrary rules, spaceships, elbows, and conditions currently exists, but if there was one, then it would make alien universal construction far easier across many rules.
