Here's a reduction of the p7 heavywweight emulator from 518 cells to 503 cells using the recent p7 2c/3 signal injector reduction to substitute for a larger 2c/3 signal injector:
The top glider stream with a p5 oscillator, giving more potential room for the much more difficult oscillator below. Here is an example that is much larger than necessary. I found it quickly with LLS and JLS with no attempts at optimization, as it's only meant to demonstrate the reaction:
I'll take a renewed look at the bottom potential p5 to see if this makes the problem more solvable. It's certainly to the point where I believe it could be solved with a bit of dedicated effort.

Thanks. I'll give these a try soon. In the mean time, here is another seemingly useless p7 signal injector that I found incidentally when trying to reduce the p14 gun, although due to a bad setup the stator of the solution it was a part of could not be completed:
This seems to be the first ever 4 mod 15 rephasing, although it's made of known parts (except possibly the transparent blinker — the previously known form as in 2024's p133 used two fishhooks in place of it).
By the way, that other component also looks familiar. I think it was first spotted at the back of another sparker or something, and somebody -tho I don't remember who- dimerized it using Montana. The stabilization in your reflector is smaller, however. Here are both, for your curiosity:
