I don't currently see evidence of it deserving more attention than it would get in an existing forum thread like MDiOCA. I think a forum thread is only helpful when it's likely to lead to an interesting discussion with more than a few replies contributing to the topic. There are a large number of forum threads for "abandoned" cellular automata, some of which are more interesting than others, with only few replies per thread on average. It is better to avoid creating more and more such short-lived overly specific threads. There are way too many CA to explore each of them in depth individually, there should be something more general and more interesting beyond specific examples.

In particular, the splitter you posted works in 2^41 = 2199023255552 cellular automata of the same type (*) and there is no immediate reason for "singling out" any of them. Due to low repeat time of the splitter, only a few low-period oscillators would need to be found to prove omniperiodicity, and many small low-period oscillators can be expected to work across wide spaces.

I just discovered that in B2e3ceiq4e/S2-a34-eirtw there are lots of self-replicating guns which cause Sierpinski's Triangles to appear from the ash.

Please edit your post to merge small patterns into a pattern collection.
Also please trim the large random-looking pattern to only that region that's actually relevant. Instead of posting a large soup producing the object of interest, just post the object of interest directly. That would take less screen space and less disk space and communicate better the intent.

It's still a repligun. Note that the still life often grows when hitting it. I already tried to make it a gun by double-side closing it with still lives. The result was that it was destroyed by the growing still lives. I tried to increase distances, but the pattern just stabilizes after the longer time.

It's "ring-totalistic" / "layer-totalistic", the condition of a cell is an encoded form of the tuple (the cell's own current state between 0 and 1, the number of alive range-1 neighbours between 0 and 8, the number of alive range-2 neighbours between 0 and 16). In particular the omitted birth condition B85 is an encoded form of the tuple (0, 5, 0) which means "the cell is currently dead, has precisely five alive range-1 neighbours, and has zero alive range-2 neighbours". If the birth condition B85 is added, then the CA will be equivalent to B35/S23.

That doesn't resolve the problem. The above CA I posted is isotropic, and non-totalistic.

There is no "nearest isotropic non-totalistic" CA to B35/S23, you can always go closer and closer and closer.
