Apgsearch B34ce8/S234c5e8 - actually quite stable despite adding 6 transitions to life.
Apgsearch B3/S234c5e - only C1 has been searched so far.

Request several symmetry apgsearch of rule B34cqz8/S234c5e6n8 - despite all the added transitions, it is stable and seems interesting in several symmetries. This is also the rule with the most added transitions in which a couple of alien snark variants also work.
EDIT: also would like a directed search for a sparking p8 in this rule for a p40 LCM with Fumarole/P24 with Unix. There also seems to be no period-9 oscillator from life which works in this rule (EDIT 2: there is a 42-cell billiard table which does work in both rules), and no good p7 sparker.

The rulespace B34qz/S23 - B34cqz8/S234c5e6n8 sits in alien snark space, and basically all rules here are stable (some have interesting growth), but these rules are often missing oscillators capable of solving many LCMs (e.g. periods 18, 28, 33, 35, 36, 40, and 42 don't have oscillators) - p7/p8 sparkers through B34(cq)z8/S23(5e6n)8 would be most beneficial, but other sparkers would be as well. Recommended to search both natural soups and symmetric soups.
EDIT: B34c8/S23 for several/all symmetries, as well as some STDIN tests to tally all rephased TL hasslers in this rule

I tried to apgsearch this rule, and it was killed because it used up all the memory in my computer, which is not an error I have ever seen with apgsearch before.
Edit: I'm currently rerunning a minimum haul of 10000 soups on a different computer, and the memory usage has reached a peak of 25.3 GiB.

That problem happens when the CA supports common high-period objects or common complicated interactions. It would be very helpful to apgsearch B34q/S23-k/C1. I am doing D2_+1 myself with python, but C1 would take too long. Note: B34q/S23-k has a (24,19)c/239 puffer, making searches slower than normal.

It might also be possible to find some compatible objects by searching B34q/S23-k4c which doesn't have that puffer; the only difference in the rules is in what happens when an alive cell has four alive diagonal neighbours and doesn't have any alive orthogonal neighbours.
