Hello, it's my first time on this forum.

I have discovered this pattern, a 41 block long line that generate 12 blocks, 4 beehives, 4 loafs and 4 pulsars.

I don't know if it's interesting, but i didn't found someone talking about it. I think it's a beautiful way to make 4 pulsars.

The 1-by-n rectangles of alive cells were an early "thing to investigate".
The 41-by-1 rectangle is mentioned in One-cell-thick_pattern#With_all_cells_alive.

I discovered a 2 patterns but I am not sure if I create them.
#1: Sun
The Sun is a spark with a 5x5 bounding box and, with a lifespan of 2 generations and evolves into 4 dots.
This is what it looks like:

#2: Stable Wheel
I just discovered it today while searching for another pinwheel oscillator and I couldn’t figure out a name, so I named it a stable wheel. It is a strict still life with a 12x12 bounding box that looks like this:

The still life can be seen on the page xs36_gg0g88bbgz11078bb87066zy033, and has a known glider synthesis (this is also true for many other still lives, though).

Usually, neither hand-drawn big sparks nor big still lives are considered "interesting" or "noteworthy", unless a specific spark or a specific still life has some nontrivial/rare application (such as being useful for creating a rare reaction or performing a rare catalysis).

A kind of AND Gate with Herschel between LWSS.
The LWSS passes through the conduit if the H is not there.
A NE Glider is emitted if H and LWSS are there.
If the LWSS is not there, the conduit works as it had to do.

ummm OK im pretty sure this isn't new but i wanted to share it anyway i was playing around with a grey stretcher and i separated the body from the rest of the spaceship and found that i could cut the ships a lot shorter then they were originally but im assuming that the part i was able to cut was just the connector :mrgreen:

Can you post the pattern?

If you are using Golly or LifeViewer, you can copy the RLE out of the program, and paste it as a plain-text snippet between tags [pattern] [/pattern]

With initial bounding box 7-by-3 and initial population 10 bits, it's unlikely to be "new" (small patterns were repeatedly enumerated for different purposes).
It's also not too noteworthy as a methuselah, because its lifespan is only 572 ticks. The simple R-pentomino (or the F-pentomino, if you prefer Golomb's notation) is a methuselah with initial bounding box 3-by-3, initial population 5 bits, and lifespan 1103 ticks:

Not exactly "this pattern", though. As far as I can tell, the exact pattern never occurs during evolution of the fuse. It looks more like another predecessor of a later generation of that pattern (converging sequences).

Additionally, I'm not sure whether "used this [sequence?]" is a good way to describe the situation when the evolutionary sequence "just so happened to" appear in a pattern, without an intent to use that particular sequence.
(For example, even though the Herschel happens to appear in the evolution of the R-pentomino, it would be a bad explanation of the situation to claim that "the R-pentomino uses the Herschel".)

I think I found a 5-cell that takes 2 generations longer to stabilize. I'm new to the game, so IF i'm counting correctly it dies after 1,105 instead of 1,103 like R-pentomino. IF it's really a new discovery, and IF I get to name it, I'd like Juno for the J shape.

Lifeline Volume 4 enumerates all patterns with 6 or fewer cells. (The 7 column only counts heptominoes, not all 7-cell patterns.)

Its lifespan is 2 ticks higher than the lifespan of R-pentomino, because it evolves into the R-pentomino two ticks later.

If you know about the R-pentomino, and if you are interested in notable long-lived patterns, then the pages List of long-lived methuselahs and LW:NB should be helpful.

Strangely enough, 2 glider match another 3-glider recipe, and gives another long boat with same parity and orientation, (but different lan for reflections, allowing a shift by 12. Also, it is built outside of the reach of the lane of gliders used in the synthesis.
