I want to note that server load highly depends on what exactly users are doing and how often.
Normal users and spam bots behave differently.

I've been seeing this a lot the last few days, and seems to be quite frequent today.

Running the latest Safari on MacOS.

I don’t think the browser it the device has any problem with this error. I think the server is just a little overloaded right now.

I’m using Safari on an iPhone and every other page load produces this error, but it works if I just reload a couple of times.

Sorry about this folks -- it's a server issue, not a browser issue. We're getting hammered by bots for some reason. Working on a fix.

Edit: These bots are true assholes. I couldn't find a way to get rid of them other than blocking a rather wide range of IP addresses. Anyway, with them blocked, we went from about 600 forum page requests per minute to about 20. Hopefully this should start easing up now, but I may need to do additional rounds of IP blocks in the coming days to keep them at bay.

By posting that, you aren't providing any details that could help to understand what happened (e.g. What was the exact error message? When it happened during your activity on the forums? Does it happen more or less reliably in a certain scenario, or it just happens sometimes but not other times without a way to reliably reproduce it?)

Such short chatty "again" / "error" posts don't help other people to understand the situation, and in fact may cause more problems.

I didn't encountered any general error this year, probably a local error. However this is likely HTTP 500 - internal server error, usually for generic error that occurred on server. I wish HTTP error codes would be included in the error messages.
