Reviving an old thread that breaks today’s rules is only more likely to get it locked; moderators don’t go to the depths of The Sandbox just to lock inaccurate threads.
If it isn’t locked, your best bet is to just not post in it at all. I also think it’s better to let this sink back to the bottom. Now remember, this is an academic forum, not a chat or microblogging forum. Let this sink back to the bottom, and not call any moderator’s attention to it or even The Sandbox in general.

what really is the problem with the thread getting locked? if this is what the thread eventually will become, then i think it's just right to lock it right now.
