I've got some holidays coming up, scattered through the next three weeks, when I might have more time than usual to work on the optimized-RCT15 project.
I'll probably begin by reading through the article summarizing the optimized RCT15, as it stands so far, and trying to copy-edit it -- that is, I'll find out if I understand the optimizations well enough to do any useful copy-editing. If I don't understand anything well enough to edit the article, I'll start asking questions.
The other angle that I might be able to help with is providing a reasonable self-destruct mechanism for the ECCA. Anything I produce will just be an arbitrary semi-manual solution to the self-destruct problem, probably hacked together from the outputs of various search scripts.
In other words, I wouldn't be attempting to guarantee anything about optimality, more just trying to provide a reasonable upper bound for the self-destruct problem. Does that sound like it would be useful?
(The last two ECCA's are for unidimensional spaceship rather for the RCT15)
Considering the aricle, I will include the ECCA picture after we will have the destruction pattern ... (and I am not sure how much time I would have during holidays and how good internet connection would be).
The captures describing corderabsorbers and corderships used for cleanup (and GPSE startup cleanup) and transitions from DBCA to ECCA (jump FSE with n gliders absorber) and from ECCA to final pattern (jump fnw) have to be written as well. But this all waits for the pattern to be finished...
