Nice -- another good use for simeks' same-lane 180-degree reflector.

This triggered a very old memory -- a three-digit post number memory -- because a ship is one of the possible targets for two gliders, to build an LWSS (or MWSS, if you delay the lower glider by one tick (on the right side of that old pre-syringe pre-Snark template pattern).

Nowadays we could just bounce two gliders into position with Snarks, and maybe a Bandersnatch or two -- should be a reasonably small piece of circuitry, because the ship creation doesn't have to be synchronized precisely with the gliders.

By the way, the same-lane reflector can also slightly speed up this H-to-LWSS, though it doesn't exactly solve the clearance problem.

The only feature here is that if the marked block is missing, a glider is emitted instead, which could have marginal uses as that glider from an edge shooter.

Nice! The known beehive stopper is 25x16, so this new one at only 13x20 might come in quite handy for cases where circuitry doesn't have to be constructible -- e.g., a more compact HashLife-friendly metacell.
