Actually that still life is already known to be constructible in four gliders, and the synthesis on Catagolue happens to have better clearance than your version (by constructing the traffic light in a more favorable direction).

I am not into the Game of Life so much but I accidentally discovered a pattern of 4 columns of 11 cells high, 2 cells wide and a distance of 2 cells.
After about 2300 generations it ends in a huge bo tie and contains blinkers and beacons.

there are actually 10 ways I found to destroy this cleanly. off to the side is a reaction i (re?)discovered randomly while doing this, which is a really useless one considering that the still life it turns into requires 4 fewer gliders.

I believe this works for all of the spaceships, unless it hits the lower snark, then you can adjust it if that happens
