B0 Generations Rules

Post by muzik »

Patterns in the following rule tend to emit a multitude of diagonal wickstretchers from random initial conditions.

Code: Select all

x = 24, y = 22, rule = /012-a34/3
.3A.A6.2A.2A.3A3.$6A.2A.2A3.2A2.3A.A$.A.2A2.A4.A2.2A.3A.A.$A.A.2A.A.A4.3A2.A.3A$3.3A2.A.A2.A.5A.A.A$3A2.A4.A3.A3.2A2.A.$.2A.2A.A4.3A6.A2.$A2.2A2.A2.A.A5.2A.3A$.A2.2A2.A2.4A.3A2.A2.$.A.A2.2A3.A.A3.A2.2A2.$A.4A.A.5A4.2A2.A.$5A.A.3A.A.5A.A.A.$3A2.3A.5A.3A.2A3.$.A3.2A.A2.3A3.A.A2.2A$.A.2A.2A2.A.2A.A3.3A.A$.2A.A3.6A4.A.A3.$4.5A2.2A.A2.7A$A5.3A.2A.A.A2.A2.A.A$.A3.A.2A2.A.A2.A.A.A.A.$A8.3A.A.2A3.A2.A$2A.A.2A.5A4.A.4A.$2A4.4A.A.A.3A.A.2A!
This rule appears to have activity mostly localised at the boundaries of regions of differing cells:

Code: Select all

x = 65, y = 52, rule = /02345678/3

Perhaps correct if you're trying to run these patterns using lifelib Golly, or LifeViewer. I, however, have a secret weapon.

On November 25, 2020, lemon41625 posted a spaceship found with rlifesrc to Discord

Code: Select all

x = 16, y = 15, rule = 012-k345ny/012ckn3467c8/3
2A3.A4.A3.2A$4.B6AB$3.10A$2.4A.2A.4A$.6A2.6A$.2A2.A.2A.A2.2A$.AB4A2B4A
BA$A3B2A.2A.2A3BA$.2B10A2B$.5BA2.A5B$A4B6A4BA$.B3ABA2.AB3AB$2A.ABA4.AB
A.2A$.A.3A4.3A.A$4.A6.A!
In the rule there is a puffer whose period and displacement change if you remove the debris.

Code: Select all

x = 68, y = 112, rule = 012-k345ny/012ckn3467c8/3
66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A
$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.
A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$
54.A$53.A4$66.A$67.A4$54.A$53.A$A22.A17.A16.A$2A21.2A15.2A16.2A$.A22.A
15.A18.A$A22.A17.A16.A$30.A3.A!
Removing the debris from both sides, one side, and neither produces velocities 22c/126, 16c/99, or 10c/72 respectively, making it very hard to corderize.

In my case I used CAplayer to simulate the B0 generations rules
