Just curious: Is the weighted neighbourhood the same as NF?

Here's a rule which simulates B3/S23 completely in 2*2, but failed to do so (at all) in 1*1.
It's notable that 2*2 neigbhourhood are usually even harder to design since it's really close to 1*1.

There must be some better ways to do this, but I can't think of any other weights.
The rule only contains one common 1*1 object - the blinker which works the same as in Life.
blocks and especially ships are strong catalysts to 1*1 cells (comparingly better).

I discovered two oscillators today. (Well, actually, it was yesterday, but I waited until today to share it.)

When I identified the right oscillator, it had a period of 42. When I ran the above pattern for 42 generations, it repeated. Normal.

When I identified the left oscillator, it had a period of 146. However, when I ran the pattern above for 146 generations, I didn't get the original pattern. Huh?

It turns out that I placed the oscillators in such a way that the p42 rephased the p146 without destroying it, making a p252.
I find this quite an interesting phenomenon, and I wonder if it can happen with other oscillators.

(Oh yeah, and I found these oscillators from an interaction between two offset fleet traffic lights.)
