There are 101 oscillators and spaceships in non-relativistic rules with shape 2o2$2bo! and period at most 6. This took less than 3 minutes, so I could go beyond to at least 8 generations.

Those are not stripe-restricted at all. I did find one 31c/31 spaceship, and it exists thanks to an engine whose output doesn't blow up like crazy. I was able to partially break out of the stripes with a catalytic photon, which then throws an extra photon sideways. I then bounce that photon back and forth to clean up the backrake outputs, then clean up everything else. Stripe-restriction is why this is possible in a rule, that not only has B2a, but that also has B3i.

First of all, welcome to the forums!

B3/S134 is an explosive rule, so explosions should not receive any notability (unless it's the smallest, it explodes in an interesting way, or it has some unusual properties etc.)

The c/4o should also be known (it's in gliderdb)

I understand that. I couldn't find a lot of information on or patterns in B3/S134 on these forums, much less the smallest number of cells needed for an explosion in it. Based on that I thought it would be nice to post the smallest exploding pattern I found so the forums would at least have a small upper bound on the minimum number of cells needed for an exploding pattern in B3/S134. This seemed like the right thread to post it in, though maybe there's a better one I missed. Sorry if that's the case.

Minimum exploding seeds does sound interesting. This pattern doesn't explode, but it's quite active for a 4-cell pattern.

Hmm... I might refine my EPE search I'm running on p31 frontend 1. Maybe I will process the second row in LLS as well.

I was planning on writing a JS script to run the frontend through all 2^50 rules or so. Further analysis showed that the second row was completely defined through generation 5, and partially defined through generation 11.
The circled cell is also S3q, since it can only be birthed through B2a here, which only happens if the previous S3q cell is alive, which also only happens when S3q is on.

I am trying to figure out the optimal way to write the boolean formulas to determine if generation 31 matches.
