Re: Tiled CA
Stop mentioning "the newer members of this forum". Insulting us obviously contributes nothing to CA.

Just a wild guess: is it because nobody actually cares about it?bprentice wrote: June 19th, 2020, 11:33 pm Some of the newer members of this forum may not be aware of this program.
(also why is this in oca this is a script)
It's always "newer members of this forum" with you isn't it? Or "younger forum members" is what you used to say, then you realised that adults can be idiots too. (I don't see why it's so late, there's a perfectly good example typing away in front of your computer screen.)
I can see why we aren't aware of this however. I came across it while checking Java Square Cell. How many people have downloaded JSC? Four?
EDIT: Ah, Windows 7. A count of 0 people who are interested in CA use Windows 7 I believe. (Feel free to disprove me though.)
EDIT2: Currently

EDIT3: (disambiguated)

Each day is a hidden opportunity, a frozen waterfall that's waiting to be realised, and one that I'll probably be ignoring

A nice gun running on the Windows 7 version of Tiled CA:
The world is a grid consisting of a hexagonal and two triangular tiles:
The rule used is:
This particular grid supports many interesting rules.

Re: Tiled CA
The following settings produce strange behaviour:

The first time I simulated this rule showed it to be very slowly explosive, with cells multiplying within a sparse fortress of triangles, but all subsequent runs show this to fizzle out rapidly.
