How exactly did you find it?
I'm afraid there aren't any fancy new tools — just a catalyst by Kazyan I've been manually messing around with occasionally for the last few months, so far without much success beyond the one loopable 2G —> interchange —> 2G I posted a while ago in ODT.

Found a small-ish period-4 c/4 orthogonal spaceship using WLS. Not sure of any possible applications but it doesnt seem like there's a lot of c/4 ortho spaceships.

This ship was found by Hartmut Holzwart on August 15 or 16, 1992. It is present in David Bell's Spaceships in Conway's Life (Part 4) article (available here). It can also be found in most spaceship collections, including the moving object collection, knightt results, and lots-of-spaceships.

Removing an MWSS from this pattern produces a puffer/rake whose gliders collide in two different ways to make a honey farm and a block respectively, with one final glider turning the honey farm into two more blocks:
