Dustclouds01

Post by c0b0p0 »

Based on the interesting behavior in Tropylium's Dustclouds03, I decided to see if I could modify it to produce other interesting rules and found this quite quickly. It has a naturally occuring 2D replicator, an exotic "moving 1D replicator", and a failed 2D replicator, among other things.

2D replicator:

Code: Select all

x = 4, y = 4, rule = Dustclouds01
obo$3bo$o$bo!
"Moving 1D replicator":

Code: Select all

x = 9, y = 9, rule = Dustclouds01
2bo2$o2$o$bo$8bo$3bo$4bobo!
"Moving 1D replicator"-based puffer:

Code: Select all

x = 23, y = 9, rule = Dustclouds01
3bo2$5bo13bo$o3bobo$3b3o11bo$2bob2o10bobo3bo$3bo13b3o$17b2obo$19bo!
Here is the rule table (if you haven't figured it out already):

Code: Select all

@RULE Dustclouds01

@TABLE
n_states:2
neighborhood:Moore
symmetries:rotate4reflect

Here is a ship that is smaller by about one-third of an order of magnitude.

Code: Select all

x = 20, y = 7, rule = Dustclouds01
