As mentioned in previous discussion starting from here, only Nathaniel can delete spam accounts. However,

Reporting a few individual cases with a new post causes clutter, as dvgrn said, so it may be better to send a long list of such spam accounts. It is the opinion of at least one moderator that it does not contribute to a productive atmosphere when wild accusations are made about some user being a spambot or a sockpuppet account. All that does is to start pointless arguments, which is the exact opposite of any kind of "help moderating". Everyone should please not do anything like that ever again.

The only place where that kind of accusation should come up is in reported posts, and people should take a deep breath and think very carefully before creating those. Some people here on the forums seem to form strong opinions and be very certain of them, apparently without any hard evidence.

Imagine that you could be taken to court and forced to prove in front of a judge that your allegations are true, or else face jail time and a hefty fine for libel. Do your vague suspicions really have evidence backing them, that holds up to the standard of convincing everyone beyond a reasonable doubt? If not, then your accusations are very likely to be wrong, irresponsible, and somewhat toxic, so don't post them anywhere.

There's no big hurry. These things sort themselves out eventually. Truth is the daughter of time.

Yes,I agree about the large part,but I have to say that this is taking place out of the region where people should be productive and is mostly,if not completely unrelated.
However,I think that this is a topic worth discussing, because that account's username is clearly related to the one of FWKnightship and is probably either his alternative account,a Trumpoid (guess yourself what that means) or another user behaving like it and having an account just for the fun of doing it (in this concrete case some suspect it to be Hunting),with the possibility of it being a completely independent account being reduced to practically zero and is extremely unlikely to be the case.
Interesting fact:It is possible that I saw yujh quoting me in my notifications box but it was actually FWCamelship. Maybe it was just an error but maybe also it could be pointing at something.

It would certainly help to reduce the mystery if you could all talk to each other directly (if you do indeed live in the same house) and make sure everyone understands why it's confusing to have multiple forum users sharing the same email address (and the same IP address in some cases).

... and at the same time coincidentally providing additional evidence for my belief that prefixing some, but not all, usernames with "user" is likely to be interpreted as discriminatory or disrespectful language.

Stylistic choices (such as adding or not adding "forum user", or adding or not adding quote marks) also shouldn't depend on presence of hyperlinks.
If "forum user" is used when referring to one forum member, but omitted when referring to another forum member, then that is a distracting inconsistency at best (regardless of whether or not there are any links).
At worst, it can be interpreted as discriminatory/disrespectful language.

I think these kinds of inconsistency are a real issue that should be corrected in some way or another.

This thread really shouldn't have been bumped to post what you posted, but now that it has been, maybe we can use it to talk about a few things.

The problem with the choice of "methamphetamine" as a user name is not that it's a misspelling of "methuselah". The problem is that "methamphetamine" is the name of a highly problematic illegal drug.

Don't worry, the moderator team will take care of that issue, it just might take a little while. Posts like the one you made will really just cause clutter without helping anything at this point.

"Advertising" means "trying to get people to give you money for things".

Please don't worry that saying "LeapLife" is somehow forbidden on the grounds of being advertising. That's not the case at all.

There was a time when a LeapLife thread was getting over-hyped on other threads, to the point where it was distracting and people wanted it to stop. That might have been labeled as "unwanted advertising" at that time. But nothing like that is happening now. The "advertising" that we're talking about now involves using the forums to try to to get people to buy things.

You're absolutely not going to get in any trouble for using "LeapLife" in a pattern's rule header. It's actually much more distracting that you're changing "LeapLife" to something else unnecessarily -- because when you did that, your post got reported.

Does that make sense? What's happening here is that you're unintentionally causing distractions -- by trying to follow rules that don't actually exist.

Nobody forces you to use the alias (indeed, it is better to avoid aliases when posting patterns, as there is Golly and other software which may fail to understand the alias). You can use the rulestring.

However, rewriting the rulestring into a non-canonical form (from "B2n3/S23-q8" into "23-q8/32n"), merely to avoid having an occurrence of the canonical rulestring of LeapLife (B2n3/S23-q) within it, looks like an idea that is less than constructive.
