For both rules:
1. A cell of the third color is born, if surrounded by 1 and 1 or 2 and 2 cells of other 2 colors.
2. A cell of certain color is born, if surrounded by 1 cell of that color and 2 or 3 cells of the previous color in the cycle (e.g. 3 red cells and 1 green cell give birth to a green cell).
3. A cell of certain color is born, if surrounded by 2 cells of that color and 4 cells of the previous color in the cycle.
4. A cell survives, if surrounded by 2 cells of the same color or 3 cells of any color.
One additional detail is different:
For Chimeras: A cell of a certain color is born, when surrounded by 5 cells of the previous color in the cycle (5 red cells give birth to a green cell etc.)
For ChimerasWorld: A cell of a certain color is born, when surrounded by 4 cells of the previous color in the cycle.
There is an elementary wickstrecter in both rules that usually doesn't grow infinitely in random soups, but either disappears or turns into a ship of indefinite length by reactions with other objects. There is an orthogonal replicator, which appears about as commonly as in HighLife and is often also consumed by other objects. The replicator is very useful for building oscillators and guns.
