Hi! I just through some random cells into the grid and had it evolve. I came up with a still life which didn't seem to be on any lists.

The top half looks like a loaf. The bottom ...

Here's another odd pattern. It looks like a long version of the "bookends" object. A couple of these objects pop up when you start with a row of 1023 cells.

Is it rare? I don't see it in the list of 16-cell patterns.

I was goofing around with the program (most fascinating!) when i found an unusual still life which wasn't on any of the lists of 18-cell patterns. It looked sort of like angel wings. Is it very rare?
