You can use Catagolue's object page to find if two patterns are interacting or not. If they are interacting, then its one object.
Catagolue is not fool-proof. Go to say D2_+2 and xp15. There’ll be a lot of bi-pentadecathons, but a lot of them simply don’t interact, however their envelopes do ...

In Langston's ants oscillators with large periods are easier to find than small periods.
What is the lowest period possible?
The lowest I have found is a p16.

Why does the number of rules in the Catagolue INT rule table occasionally decrease? A few weeks ago, there were exactly 14,000 apgsearched INT rules, but today, there are only 13,836.

I created a version of Langton’s Ant where ants cannot destroy each other by occupying the same cell. I did this because in the version of Langton’s Ant that is currently used, there are only 9 states, which can only deal with 1 ant being on each cell. This results in ants that are moving onto the ...
