It's always theoretically possible that a smallish CGoL pattern exists that emulates Langton's Ant, just as the B-heptomino-like thing does in B3-cjkq4knqy5cnr7/S02-cn3-ak4eiq5kq6e7e. But unless it's _very_ small it's really not findable with current search tools.
Or maybe a little simpler ...

Is there a pattern that moves like langtons ant? It should start in an empty medium. It should not be as pretty as the OTCA metapixel. Using a simple still life is sufficient. Is this possible?
Not with a simple still life, since then there's no way for movement to happen. But there is a non ...
