Re: The 323: A 32-bit computer

This is a great project!

I found some issues in the documentation. The opcode for st xX,xY should be aYX0. Also the opcodes for jf and jnf are swapped. The last byte of jf should be 2 and jnf should be 1.

I created an emulator that can be used in a browser.

Implementing floating point arithmetic would be complicated, so instead I use fixed point arithmetic and reuse routines from the pi calculator.

Re: Smaller Pi Calculator Challenge

I wrote a program that renders the Mandelbrot set on the B2D component. The compiled pattern has a clock speed of 2^21 and takes 1.109e15 generations to complete.

#C [[ THEME Mono ]]
x = 1555, y = 1555, rule = B3/S23

Re: Smaller Pi Calculator Challenge

It looks like you updated the online primes.apg to include a #COMPONENTS line. I haven't checked yet -- do all of the "Examples" now compile successfully using the APGsembly2 Golly Python compiler?

Also, do you have any interest in collecting a few more Examples? There's simsim314's program that ...

Re: Smaller Pi Calculator Challenge

What is the compatibility between this Golly Python compiler and the online APGsembly 2.0 emulator ? An issue from 2020 was closed in that repo this morning -- probably not coincidentally, right?

Added `#INCLUDE`, `#DEFINE`, `#INSERT` template features to the web version of the APGsembly ...

Re: Oscilloscope - Oscillator analyzer

Some non-oscillators don't give the intended error message.

The p40894 from Dean Hickerson's collection causes my browser (Safari) to reload the page.

x = 2, y = 3, rule = B3/S23
2o$o$o!

actually gives a result, all but one cell of which has period 100001. Most things that don't emit gliders ...

Oscilloscope - Oscillator analyzer

I made a web app for oscillator analysis. This is inspired by Oscillizer, Oscillizer-Web, Nakano and LifeViewer. Thanks!

Re: Smaller Pi Calculator Challenge

Following dvgrn's advice, I wrote a script that can generate APGsembly for Elementary cellular automata.
This can be used for rules with even index numbers.

EDIT: updated the script so that if the result is an OFF cell, It just goes to the next step.

Re: Smaller Pi Calculator Challenge

I made an emulator for APGsembly.

And I also wrote a program that simulates Rule 124 cellular automaton.
