Re: (23,5)c/79 spaceship components

New simpler mechanism. Without any resets it's almost the same population as the waterbear. Virtually any improvement will make it the new smallest.

What does this ship look like, and how does it compare to Waterbear?

Re: Is this a scam involving Golly?

Hey it looks like the URL no longer exists. I just tested it right now and it returns a 404 error, so it looks like reporting it worked.
That being said, I still have the URLs I mentioned before. They both contain GitHub URLs and the users behind them still exist. Like I said earlier, I can still DM ...

Re: Is this a scam involving Golly?

My ISP had issues with the site, so I downloaded it over a VPN. It redirects to a suspicious URL which doesn't even have a homepage (I'm not posting the domain here for obvious reasons, but the path was /2k2pyhygfuju/golly-cellular-automata-simulator.github.io/), and downloads a ~110 MB zip file ...

Is this a scam involving Golly?

I stumbled across this on GitHub yesterday. It looks completely AI generated and the download URL seems to be a redirect link, although Google Chrome blocks the URL that the redirect leads to. Here is the GitHub article in question: https://github.com/Golly-Cellular-Automata-Simulator/
Let me know ...

Re: Minecraft discussion

I know it has been two years since the last post, but this post is worth it.

I thought of an interesting idea for a custom Catagolue symmetry involving Minecraft:
1. Take a seed and isolate a radius of chunks around spawn
2. Treat slime chunks as ON cells and non-slime chunks as OFF cells

-A GUI program that makes caterpillar building easier.
-A program that automatically builds caterpillars.
By caterpillars I mean engineered spaceships that are similar to the spaceships that are self-constructing and self-supporting, like Gemeni, Shieldbug, Camelship, e.t.c.
